Parmarth Head Hails SC Verdict on Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Rishikesh: “I fondly remember my divine meeting with Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayiji and her great love, dedication and devotion for upholding the heritage and traditions of Bharat and the lineage. The day of 14th July, 2020 will be remembered as a great moment in history,” said Swami Chidananda Saraswati, Head of Paramarth Niketan Ashram here today.

The Swami said that India can provide true 2020 vision that the world needs now. Mahatma Gandhi said so beautifully, “What is the use of the fast speed that has no direction?” Today we are connected to the internet, but we need to not forget the ‘innernet’ connection. This 2020 vision of 2020 given to us by our great culture, our great sanskriti and sanskaras provides the perfect vision, the pure vision, the vision which is truly Sanatan, eternal and timeless, the vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the whole world is one family.

He said, “I deeply appreciate the Supreme Court for giving the long awaited decision for Shri Ram Janam Bhumi Temple and now for giving another landmark decision for Shri Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Our scriptures teach – ‘Aano bhadra krtavo yantu vishwatah’, which means, let all the noble thoughts come from all directions. This is our culture.”

The Supreme Court has given a historic verdict in favour of the Travancore Royal Family in regard to the administration of Padmanabhaswamy Temple located in Thiruvanthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. In Malayalam, Thiruvanthapuram means "The City of Lord Ananta".

“While the one temple is in the North, the other is in the South. The decisions for these two temples will lead to a bridge in India, a setu between the North and the South and also a Setu (bridge) for all of humanity,” added the saint.
