Kidneys are capable of regenerating: Renowned Ayurveda & Meditation Guru Acharya Manish

Chandigarh: Hospital and Institute of Integrated Medical Sciences,HIIMS, in Derabassi near Chandigarh has recently successfully treated two youngsters Kushal Tiwari and  Gursewak Singh suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD) and who were on dialysis for a long time, through Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Panchakarma. HIIMS is an integrated hospital established by Renowned Ayurveda & Meditation Guru - Acharya Manish, where the focus is always on removing the root cause of any disease.

Acharya Manish, Founder of HIIMS, said, “Adult kidneys constantly grow and reconstruct themselves. That is why they have the potential for regeneration and healing. This is why the focus of our treatment at HIIMS is on regeneration, instead of dialysis or kidney transplant."

He supported the claim of kidney regeneration by showcasing Harvard University research and some other studies by researchers in the US and Israel. One of these studies reflects experiments done on rats, which showed that the kidneys constantly generate new cells.

24-year-old Kushal Tiwari was suffering from chronic kidney disease and was on dialysis for a long time. His global GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate, a blood test that checks kidney function) was 0.391 ml/min, meaning he had ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) and no other treatment was effective. He had consulted several doctors, who opined that he would have to undergo a kidney transplant which would work for 4-5 years only. After getting this opinion, Kushal decided to visit HIIMS, Derabassi. Within three months of his treatment at HIIMS, his dialysis stopped and the global GFR rose to 9.306 ml/min.

Another patient, 18-year-old Gursewak Singh, was also suffering from chronic kidney disease and was on constant dialysis. He was in a wheelchair when he reached HIIMS and his heart rate was also low. His GFR was 8.9 on November 27, 2021. After three months of treatment at HIIMS, his GFR increased to 18.2 and dialysis also stopped by February 21, 2022.

HIIMS Hospital uses GRAD therapy (Gravity Resistance and Diet) for the self-management of 27 major emergencies and life-threatening conditions. The diseases are treated by changing the lifestyle of the patient through Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and Panchakarma. The main objective of HIIMS is to help people seek traditional treatments to improve their health and quality of life and the same approach was adopted with these kidney patients. There is a clear difference between the pre and post-treatment reports of both.

Acharya Manish, Dr. Pandey, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, Dr. Azad, and their team at HIIMS work on the root cause of kidney disease and help people recover from chronic kidney diseases with the help of Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Panchakarma. Like Kushal and Gursewak, they have also treated several other patients suffering from kidney failure and chronic kidney ailments, who were on dialysis for decades and recovered within a few months of treatment at HIIMS. Patients said that while they had lost hope of recovery, HIIMS gave them a new lease of life by reinforcing their faith in healthcare.
